What we collect

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and which referring sites bring people here. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address, which Google uses to approximate your location and then discards. We also record when someone clicks through to a retailer, so we know which comparisons are useful — that record is the product slug and the page it was clicked from, nothing about you.

We do not ask for your name, email address, or any account. There is nothing to sign up for. We do not run advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or share data with anyone for marketing.

Affiliate links

Links to retailers pass through /go/ on this site before sending you onward. That lets us count the click and, in future, attribute a sale. As of 2026-08-02 RideInfo has no affiliate relationship with any retailer and earns nothing from these links. When that changes, the disclosure at the foot of every page will say so.

Once you land on a retailer’s site you are subject to their privacy policy, not ours. Retailers commonly set their own cookies.

Your choices

• Blocking cookies, or using a tracker-blocking extension or private browsing, stops the analytics described above. Nothing on this site breaks if you do.
• Most browsers send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal; we honour it in the sense that we run no advertising or profiling regardless.
• If you are a California resident and want to know what we hold about you, the honest answer is that we hold no records that identify you personally. There is no account, no email list, and no profile.

Changes

If we ever start collecting something new — an email alert list is the likely candidate — this page changes before that happens, not after.
